6th Annual Venice Book Fair and Writers Festival
Friday, March 24
This year's Venice Writers Festival promises to be the best yet,
beginning at 3 p.m.,
when mystery writer David Bishop presents
ideas for beginning novelists.
Author Sharol Louise will speak about character
development at 4:30 p.m.,
followed by a wine and cheese receiption at 6 p.m.,
ending with forensic expert
and mystery writer Lisa Black
at 6:30 p.m. .
Tickets are $20. Due to limited seating,
reservations are required.

Saturday, March 25
Authors selling and signing their latest books
in Centennial Park in downtown Venice
9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
The Writers Festival continues Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
when Diane Gilbert Madsen talks about writing mysteries;
1 p.m., Brenda Spalding talks about writing children's literature;
Area elementary students read
their creative writing at 1:30 p.m.
Saturday events are free of charge.

Authors wishing to pitch their writing to a representitive of the publishing
industry should email email@example.com by Thursday.
Pitches of 10 minutes each will be heard on Saturday, from 2 - 3 p.m.
Times are assigned when email reservations are received.

information and the first 10 pages of the manuscript.
The Venice Book Fair and Writers Festival is a small, unique program hosting writers teaching writers on Friday night,
and authors selling and signing their books to the public on Saturday.
All proceeds from the Venice Book Fair and Writers Festival go to Venice Heritage Inc., the 501(c) 3 fundraising
arm of two historic sites in Venice, the Lord-Higel House, currently under restoration, and the
Venice Museum and Archives expansion project.
