6th Annual Venice Book Fair and Writers Festival
Friday, March 24
Writers Festival Programs
This year's event promises to be the best yet,
beginning at 4:30 p.m. with the continued writing series
by thriller author David Hagberg,
followed by a wine and cheese receiption,
ending with forensic expert and mystery writer Lisa Black .
Tickets are $20 at the door.
Saturday, March 25
Authors selling and signing their latest books
in Centennial Park in downtown Venice
9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
The Writers Festival continues at 10:30 a.m.
when Diane Gilbert Madsen talks about writing mysteries;
Frye Gaillard reads from his
"Go South to Freedom," at 1 p.m.;
followed by area elementary students reading
their creative writing at 1:30 p.m.

The Venice Book Fair and Writers Festival is a small, unique program hosting writers teaching writers on Friday night,
and authors selling and signing their books to the public on Saturday.
All proceeds from the Venice Book Fair and Writers Festival go to Venice Heritage Inc., the 501(c) 3 fundraising
arm of two historic sites in Venice, the Lord-Higel House, currently under restoration, and the
Venice Museum and Archives expansion project.
